Public Art Exhibits
The Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission provides Gallery exhibit space for County artists in the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Gallery, which includes 3-D display cases, and the Student Gallery @ 40 North Bridge. Gallery Exhibitions provide important visibility and public recognition for talented local artists. The mission of the Galleries is to benefit and provide expanded visibility for as many local artists as possible, as well as providing art exhibitions in a non traditional venue for public enjoyment.
The Commission welcomes the display of group art exhibitions from established Somerset County organizations. Periodically, juried exhibitions are scheduled inviting artists residing or employed in Somerset County to apply through a well-publicized Call to Artists. Specifications are outlined in a prospectus widely distributed by the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission office.
