Somerset County and Hunterdon County, in collaboration with Raritan Valley Community College will be holding a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site on*:

  • Thursday May 28th
  • Tuesday June 2nd
  • Thursday June 4th

Testing is by appointment only and a valid doctor's prescription is required. Anyone without an appointment will be turned away. The testing site location is Raritan Valley Community College, 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg.

Testing is free of charge and only available to Hunterdon and Somerset County residents, age five (5) and older. Because priority is being given to those who are exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus, residents must have a valid doctor’s prescription, ID and an appointment to receive testing.

Patients are required to provide a copy of their prescription, either by bringing it with them to the testing site, or by sending it via email in advance of the appointment. Patients or their physicians, can send the written authorization to the Somerset County Department of Health at, with the word “Prescription” in the subject line. Faxes can be sent to 908-704-8042.

For the safety, health and security of staff and volunteers, patients must arrive by car. The testing site will not allow entry if residents don’t arrive in a vehicle, even if they have a valid driver’s license and prescription. When coming to the testing center, residents are asked to use the main entrance to the college campus, off of Route 28.

Frequently Asked Questions




What happens to my COVID-19 sample after I leave the test site?

After your sample is taken, Accurate Diagnostic Labs is responsible for:

  • Transporting the sample to the lab
  • Processing the sample and paperwork
  • Directly reporting results to health care providers

How do I get my results?

  • All results are faxed by Accurate Diagnostic Labs to the health care provider who ordered the COVID-19 test
  • Patients must contact their healthcare provider for test results. The lab will NOT release results directly to a patient

What can providers do to get results?

  • Healthcare providers should monitor their incoming faxes for COVID-19 results from their patients
  • Healthcare providers only can call to receive/ask questions about their patient's test results at Accurate Diagnostic Labs' client service number, 732-839-3300. When the provider calls, they will need to patient's first name, last name, and DOB. From there, the lab personnel will be able to look up the patient's results in their database.
