Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
Pursuant to the provisions of federal regulation 24 CFR Part 570 and 24 CFR Part 91, Somerset County, New Jersey is providing notice of the availability of its draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the 2019 Program Year which began September 1, 2019 and ended August 31, 2020. The performance report is being prepared and will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in accordance with the submission deadline of November 30, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HUD has granted a waiver on the CAPER deadline to February 28, 2021. Somerset County reserves the right to accept this waiver, but at this time does not anticipate the need to.
The County's draft CAPER will be available for review at the Somerset County Office of Community Development. Persons wishing to view or comment on the Program Year 2019 CAPER should contact the County during the comment period which begins on October 13th and ends on November 13th. Requests for the draft CAPER and all comments should be addressed to Jeremy Hirsch, Principal Planner, Somerset County Community Development Office, 27 Warren Street – 4th Floor, PO Box 3000, Somerville, NJ 08876-1262 or Hirsch@co.somerset.nj.us. All comments must include your name and municipality. Please note that all County offices are closed in observance of Columbus Day on October 12, Election Day on November 3 and Veterans Day on November 11.
The CAPER will be the subject of review and discussion at a virtual public meeting that will be held on October 30, 2020 at 11am. Details are available on the Somerset County website at the following location: https://www.co.somerset.nj.us/government/human-services/community-development/cdbg-and-home. At that hearing, a summary of the CAPER will be presented. If you wish to attend and require translation services, you must let us know at least five (5) business days in advance.
