Click it or Ticket it - The goal is to get more drivers and passengers to buckle up on every trip, every time, day and night. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office is urging state and local residents to use seat belts during the Thanksgiving holiday period, which is one of the most heavily traveled times of the year.

National Child Identification Program - The National Child Identification Program’s inkless fingerprint ID kit provides parents and guardians with a clean, convenient way to record their child’s fingerprints and physical characteristics on a card they can keep at home.
Project Lifesaver - Clients that are enrolled in the Project Lifesaver program wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. In the event that a client becomes missing, the caregiver will immediately call 911 and the task force will be deployed to the client’s point last seen.

School Resource Program - Our program has been designed to take a proactive role in reducing incidents of drug and alcohol abuse, delinquency, youth violence, as well as, other issues affecting the educational environment and impacting our community. This will be accomplished through a joint effort between the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and the Somerset County School System, with our focus on education, prevention, open communication, and information sharing.

WHALE Program - A child safety seat occupant identification program. The program is now recognized and used by emergency personnel in 34 states. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office provides WHALE kits free of charge to residents of Somerset County.
