Members of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board are appointed by the Boards of Chosen Freeholders of the counties of Hunterdon and Somerset, NJ with a requirement that a majority of members be representatives of business.
While the primary responsibility of the GRWDB is to provide oversight for federal and state workforce investment grant funding, the Board also plays an important role in workforce planning and evaluation, convening partners, and setting workforce investment policy in the region.
The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Member Handbook and Orientation Guide (2016) provides an overview of the workforce delivery system in New Jersey and details the governance, management, and financial operations of the Board.
