Leadership Somerset is a year-long adult community leadership program with the goal of creating an active network of informed, concerned leaders committed to improving the quality of life in our communities.

Leadership is not title or position. Leadership is behavior and action.  Every Somerset County community needs people who are informed, engaged, connected, and who care about keeping our county a great place to live and work.  Community leadership is leadership in, for, and by the community.

Leadership Somerset's purpose is to build an active network of informed, concerned citizens who guide the future of this community.

This is the program for you, if you are looking for:

  • Knowledge of formal and informal decision-making channels in Somerset County
  • A broader view of critical community issues
  • An introduction to key community leaders and a chance to network
  • An opportunity to practice and refine critical leadership skills and competencies

Leadership Somerset program fellows are an exclusive network of 400+ dedicated leaders, including representatives from corporations, professional services, government, nonprofit agencies, small businesses and academia.
