Somerset County Reaches 50% of Adults Fully Vaccinated, 70% of Adults Received First Dose

Goal of Exceeding 70% Vaccinated Is Reachable If Everyone Gets Vaccinated – Appointments Are Available at Drive Thru Clinics in Franklin and RVCC

Post Date:05/03/2021 4:33 PM

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Somerset County reached a major milestone with 50 percent of adults 18 years or older being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and 70 percent having received their second dose. This puts the County in range of its goal to exceed 70 percent of adults fully vaccinated, but everyone needs to do their part by getting vaccinated as soon as possible if they haven’t already.

“This is encouraging news that so many of us have been vaccinated, but we can’t take our foot off the gas,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Sara Sooy. “The way we will get back to a more normal and open way of living is by getting an even greater percentage of adults vaccinated. I encourage any resident who is waiting or is on the fence to take advantage of our clinics throughout the county and get vaccinated this week.”

Somerset County is operating clinics 5 days this week throughout the County with a variety of ways to make an appointment.
