Senior Center Seeking Volunteers Who Speak Mandarin
Donating Your Free-Time Is an Invaluable Gift
WARREN – We need your help! Somerset County Freeholder Brian D. Levine urges anyone who speaks fluent Mandarin to volunteer as a liaison or teacher for a variety of classes and programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., at the Warrenbrook Senior Center, located at 500 Warrenville Road, Warren.
Mandarin-speaking volunteers, who are interested in teaching or overseeing programs such as English as a Second Language (ESL), tai chi and other exercise-focused classes for the senior center’s Chinese clients, should contact Gwen Chalker at 908-753-9440.
All volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and to pass a background check before their start date. The background check will be conducted free-of-charge by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.
