New York woman arrested and charged with engaging in prostitution

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives John W. Fodor, and Franklin Township Chief of Police Richard Grammar announced the arrest of Yuhong J. Chen, age 47 of Flushing, NY.
Prosecutor Robertson stated that on December 11, 2018, at approximately 1:45PM, Chen was arrested as a result of an approximately one-month long, joint investigation conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force and the Franklin Township Police Department.
The investigation began after law enforcement received several complaints from concerned citizens in reference to a suspected brothel being operated out of the massage parlor, Healthy Tone Spa, located on Route 27 in Franklin Township, New Jersey.
During the course of this investigation, a Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office undercover detective entered the business, Healthy Tone Spa, where he was met by Chen. During this meeting the undercover detective was propositioned by Chen for a sexual act, in exchange for U.S. currency.
At this time, Task Force members, along with members of the Franklin Township Police Department entered the business and placed Chen under arrest. Chen was charged with engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense out of Franklin Township Municipal Court. Chen was later processed and released on her own recognizance, pending an appearance in Municipal Court.
