know that lead poisoning remains an important issue throughout New

Battery Recycling Changes
Starting Jan. 1, alkaline batteries can be thrown out in the regular
trash. Rechargeable and button-cell batteries can be recycled at
Recycling Center special recycling events. Rechargeable batteries also
can be recycled at participating retail locations. Batteries no longer
will be collected curbside.
