Somerset County Cancer Coalition
|

The Somerset County Cancer Coalition is making efforts to be the
state leader in coordinating cancer services for the community, thereby
improving the continuum of cancer care and striving towards achieving
its mission to reduce cancer incidence and mortality rates.
This is being accomplished through advocacy, promoting public awareness
of cancer prevention, early-detection methods and treatment services,
improving cancer access for low-income, high-risk and special
populations, and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices. We need
volunteers to assist us at local community and corporate events and
health fairs throughout the year.
The coalition is made up of local community organizations, community
members and cancer survivors who have a special interest in cancer
reduction and early prevention efforts. The coalition is made possible
by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services’
Office of Cancer Control and Prevention. For more information on the
coalition, to become a volunteer member or to learn about cancer
screenings and resources, contact Somerset County Cancer Coalition
Coordinator Lucille Y-Talbot at (908) 203-6077 or visit
