Revised COAH Vacant Land Analysis
The below maps illustrate vacant land (land available for development) pursuant to the NJ Council on Affordable Housing’s Revised Analysis of Vacant Land in New Jersey and its Capacity to Support Future Growth”, Prepared by the National Center for Neighborhood and Brownfields Redevelopment, E.J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Final Report, May 2, 2008, as published in the New Jersey Register, June 16, 2008, as part of the proposed amendments to the Third Round COAH Substantive and Procedural Rules. Two maps has been prepared for each of the 3 regions of the County (northern, central and southern) that compare the earlier version of COAH’s Vacant Land Analysis associated with the Adopted Third Round Rules published in the New Jersey Register on January 22, 2008, with the Revised Vacant Land Analysis. A summary comparison table of vacant acres by municipality and associated development potential is also provided. More information and the data used to create these maps can be downloaded from COAH’s website: http://www.nj.gov/dca/coah/consultantsdata.shtml . The deadline for submitting comments on the proposed amendments to COAH’s Third Round Rules is August 15, 2008. Written comments should be sent to Lucy Voorhoeve, Executive Director, The NJ Council on Affordable Housing, 101 South Broad Street, P.O. Box 813, Trenton, NJ 08625-0813.
