Residents may bring donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food to any First Saturday of the Month Recycling Drop-off. The next one is Dec. 5.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office is collecting Toys for Tots at the county administration building in Somerville through Dec. 18.

The County Clerk's Office will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Holiday Notes
County offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Recycling pickups in North Plainfield and Green Brook have been rescheduled to Dec. 28. Recycling will be collected as scheduled in Warren, Watchung, Martinsville and Thomae Park on Dec. 24.

Household batteries no longer will be collected with curbside recycling, effective Jan. 1, 2010.
