Starting Jan. 4, 2010, small businesses in Somerset County may bring their recyclables to the county Recycling Center.

County offices will be closed Nov. 3 for Election Day. However recycling pickups will be made as scheduled in Hillsborough and Millstone.

Food Donations Needed
Residents may bring donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food to any First Saturday of the Month Recycling Drop-off. The next one is Nov. 7.

Volunteers are needed to help elderly and disabled residents with leaf-raking this fall. Clean-up day is Nov. 21 but the schedule is flexible for those who cannot make it that day.

Residents can turn in old, working appliances and receive $30, plus free and safe removal.
