Sept. 11 Memorial Ceremony
A ceremony at the county’s 9/11 Memorial in Somerville will be held Friday, Sept. 11, starting at 8:46 a.m. The public is welcome.

An "Energy-Smart Somerset" forum will be held Sept. 12 at Raritan Valley Community College. Register by Sept. 4.

Recycling & Waste Drop-offs
The next monthly recycling drop-off and the next Household Hazardous Waste drop-off day both will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at different locations.

Recycling Date Changed
County offices will be closed Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. Curbside pick-up of recyclables for Branchburg and Raritan will be Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Composting Workshops
Two backyard-composting workshops will be held Sept. 15 at the 4-H Center in Bridgewater. Pre-registration is required.

County residents and farmers may drop off old tires Sept. 16-19 at the Manville Public Works Department.

The deadline for nominations has been extended to Sept. 15.

BIG Sale
Help support the Somerset County 4-H Youth Development Program. The annual BIG Rummage Sale will be held Sept. 18 and 19. Donated items will be accepted earlier that week.
