2009 Budget Adopted
The Board of Freeholders adopted the 2009 Somerset County budget on March 17.

The first Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off of 2009 will be held Saturday, March 28, at the Bernards Township Public Works Garage.

Project E.A.R.T.H. will hold its first-ever Eco-Rally from April 1-15. Participation is free.

Food Donations Needed
Residents who drop off recyclables on the First Saturday of the Month at the county Recycling Center also are asked to donate canned goods and other non-perishable food to help struggling families in Somerset County. The next drop-off day is April 4.

Eligible Somerset County residents can get help with home heating bills this winter. Applications will be accepted through April 30.
