H1N1 Swine Flu
The Somerset County Health Department is asking local community groups, schools and religious organizations to host H1N1 flu-vaccination clinics. Unlike the seasonal flu, the H1NI virus is believed to be a warm-weather bug, so it’s still important to get vaccinated if you haven’t already.

Representatives from FEMA, the SBA and state agencies are available Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at a Disaster Recovery Center in Somerville.

Recycling & Solid Waste Programs
The next Saturday recycling drop-off will be held May 1 at the Recycling Center in Bridgewater. The next Household Hazardous Waste drop-off is May 8 in Warren. A backyard-composting workshop will be offered May 11 at the 4-H Center in Bridgewater.

The deadline for applications for the Youth Leadership Somerset Class of 2010 is May 15.
