Bridge Named for Fallen Soldier
The pedestrian bridge between Somerville and Bridgewater has been renamed in memory of SSG Andrew T. Lobosco, who was killed in Afghanistan last year. More than 150 people attended the Feb. 17 ceremony.

Municipal and school representatives attended Feb. 19 introductory meetings describing the county’s Renewable Energy Initiative.

Project Homeless Connect
County workers and volunteers recently completed a survey of the homeless population in Somerset County. Volunteers also provided services, donated clothing, food and personal items to clients.

H1N1 Swine Flu
It’s still important to get an H1N1 flu shot. The H1N1 vaccine now is available to all, not just high-risk groups. Vaccination clinics are being offered in various Somerset County municipalities.

The public meeting on the county's Circulation Plan update, originally scheduled for Feb. 25, has been rescheduled to March 11.
