Joyce Hendricks has been a Commissioner for the Somerset County
Board of Elections since 2006, Municipal Chair for the Warren Township
Democratic Committee since 2002, and past President of the Somerset
County Federation of Democratic Women. Born and raised in Somerset
County’s Township of Franklin, Joyce and her husband, Peter, have been
residents of Warren Township since 1995.
Joyce is also Vice President, Development for the Rutgers University
Foundation. She has responsibility for fundraising oversight for the
Rutgers Camden and Newark campuses as well as Athletics and Corporate
& Foundation Relations which work across all Rutgers campuses. Joyce
has held this position since November 2010. Prior to her current role,
she had been Vice President, Corporate & Foundations Relations at the
Rutgers Foundation.
Joyce graduated from of Rutgers University magna cum laude with a
degree in Communication from the School of Communication and
Information.
Prior to joining Rutgers, Joyce was employed with Johnson & Johnson
for 30 years, and achieved her way through positions of increasing
responsibility. Her last two positions with Johnson & Johnson were in
management in corporate contributions and strategic sourcing.
Formerly, Joyce served on the Boards of the Chandler Health Center and
Rutgers Board of Overseers, both in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
