Anthony J. DeCicco

Mr. DeCicco served as Mayor of the Borough of Raritan from 1984 to
1999. He also served as President of the New Jersey Conference of
Mayors, President of the Somerset County Governing Officials
Association and Board Member on the New Jersey Mayors Association. He
also was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Board at the New Jersey
Department of Personnel.
Several of his previous honors include the New Jersey Mayors Hall of
Fame, Mayor of the Year from the Marconi Foundation, and Citizen of
the Year from the Raritan Republican Club.
His other community service activities include memberships with the
New Jersey Federation of Planning Officials, Somerset County Youth
Services Commission, Somerset Alliance for the Future, Somerset County
Recycling Committee (charter member), Somerset County Council on
Alcohol & Drug Dependency, Raritan Planning Board, Raritan Chamber of
Commerce and the John Basilone Parade Committee (founding member).
He and his wife of more than 40 years, Pat, are the parents of two
grown children, Denise and Anthony. He also served in the United
States Marine Corps and continues to work on behalf of Raritan’s
senior citizens. He was appointed to the Somerset County Board of
Elections in March 2000.
